If those conditions are met, Maple Grove Arts Center will refund you $30 for each artist this is accepted that you recommended. The payment will be done via a refund to your original funding source mid/late June.

AWARDS

  • Best of Show Award - The winning artist is given a free booth space the following year.

  • Emerging Artist - This space has reduced booth fee of $100 for a single space. Please indicate on your application if you qualify for this consideration. We define emerging artists as someone who is exhibiting for the first time this year and has just graduated from an arts inspired course. This is NOT awarded every year.

JURY PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Artwork is considered by a panel of well qualified judges and the jury decision is final.

  • We reserve the right to balance art mediums included in the fair.

  • Each artist is required to submit a total of five (5) images (four images of current work and one booth image) along with the non-refundable application fee per media.

  • All work to be exhibited must be represented in the images. Each of the four images should feature individual pieces that accurately represent the body of work to be exhibited; work shown in the images must be representative of current work.

RULES/REGULATIONS

  • We require that all artwork is handmade by the exhibiting artist.

  • Artists may only sell items represented in their application and only sell items within the media category they were juried into.

  • We do not accept any third party sellers.

  • The exhibiting artist must be at least 18 years of age.

  • We do require that the artists are present throughout the entire event and artist booths must be open all hours of the festival. No late arrivals or early exits.

  • The Arbor Lakes Art Fair will assign vendors their booth space. Requests by artists will be considered but not guaranteed.

  • Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and setup. The Arbor Lakes Art Fair, The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes and the Maple Grove Arts Center are not responsible for loss or damages.

  • All work must be for sale. Artists retain 100% of their sales and are responsible for the collection and reporting of applicable sales tax.

  • Artists need to have a MN tax ID and be prepared to charge tax at the prevailing rate on their sales. If you need a sales tax ID, apply now to MN Tax office.

BOOTH/TENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Artists must provide a tent and setup that will withstand wind and rain. 35 pounds per tent leg is the safety standard. If it’s windy, more may be needed. Please be prepared. We can not allow artists to use a tent that seems unsafe for neighboring artists or attendees. Shade tents are typically not acceptable. You are liable for any damage to persons or structures if your tent or display flies or falls. If you have any questions or doubts about the tent you plan to use, please ask in advance.

  • You must have a canopy tent (preferably white) with side panels so your tent can be secured overnight. The spaces are 10’ x 10’ or 20’ x 10’ if you bought a double. We do try to space the booths with a little wriggle room, but that cannot be guaranteed, so please ensure that your tent will fit within your designated space. Do not count on displaying on the outsides of your sidewalls.

  • All booths will be set up on concrete/pavement and should be on fairly level ground. Staking into any nearby soft ground is not allowed.

  • There is no electricity available on the street. Please come prepared with a means to charge your phone or credit card machine.

REFUNDS

  • There are NO refunds on booths after June 7th, 2024
