Welcome to Maple Grove Arts Center’s Grove Gallery. Our aim is to host high end local handmade art gifts for everyone. We will host a wide variety of mediums that will revolve and change out regularly.

OPEN HOURS:

The Gallery will be open to the public for you to come shop whenever we have volunteers to open the space. Please see the home page for this week’s Gallery Hours.

Below is a small selection of what we currently have available. The selection changes constantly, so this is just a sample of what may be available at any given time.

INTERESTED IN DISPLAYING YOUR ART IN THE GALLERY?

If you are an artist thinking about placing some of your work with us, please contact Barry Dyar, our Grove Gallery Director, to see if your work is a fit.

There are some basic requirements for exhibiting and we need all of these to be met, before taking your art into our space.

  • Art must be handmade by you - we do not accept third-party or pre-purchased pieces.

  • Artists will need a current advocacy, currently $50 per annum, and this could be purchased here.

  • Artists are required to volunteer at the Maple Grove Arts Center at least once a month for a 3-hour period. You can sign up here for your slot/s. Just pick the form for each month and sign yourself into a time frame.

  • Item prices need to be a minimum of $20.

  • We require a W-9 for taxes.

If this all works for you and we accept your work, please download this form, complete it, and bring it into the Center with your first approved artworks and meet Barry to install. You will also be given an identifying number to add to your price labels.

I'm the designer and creator behind Lottie's Trinkets, a small independent jewelry business fueled by my passion for design and love for craftsmanship. Originally from the UK, I’ve been designing jewelry since 2005, drawn to the joy of creating unique pieces that become treasured keepsakes for years to come.

At Lottie's Trinkets, I focus on crafting beautiful, high-quality accessories that are both stylish and affordable. Whether it's semi-precious stones, high-end European crystals, or freshwater pearls, every piece is thoughtfully designed to bring elegance and individuality to the wearer. You can find my jewelry online and at art fairs.

Beyond jewelry, I’m also a published author and an amateur watercolor artist. I have the privilege of serving as the President and Treasurer of the Maple Grove Arts Center, where I actively support the local arts community.

Art has been a constant companion throughout my life, beginning with an early gift for drawing that revealed itself in childhood. My natural ability to capture portraits became the foundation of my artistic journey, leading me to explore traditional techniques including pen and ink work, silk screen printing, lithography, and darkroom photography.
Over the years, I've worked across diverse mediums, painting with oils, acrylics, and watercolors while developing my eye for composition and color. My time living in Europe provided endless inspiration, where I documented the landscapes and architecture through both camera and brush, constantly motivated by the beauty I encountered.
My background extends well beyond the arts. I served as a soldier and military officer, worked in early computer technology and electronics, and pursued studies in energy systems. I hold degrees in Psychology and Sociology, experiences that have enriched my perspective as an artist and shaped how I see the world.
Recently, I discovered digital art when I observed a young artist working on a tablet. The medium immediately captured my imagination, and I recognized it as the next chapter in my artistic evolution. Drawing on decades of experience with traditional media and graphic arts techniques, I've embraced digital painting as a natural extension of my creative practice.
This journey from traditional portraiture to digital art reflects my commitment to growth and adaptation as an artist. Each medium I've explored has contributed to a rich foundation that continues to inform my work today.

I'm a self-taught abstract artist.  I worked in the East Coast in the fashion industry for six years and studied art there. I came back to Minnesota and raised four children. I had a salon and I was a colorist at my salon.

I am now retired and enjoying my passion of abstract art. I really emphasize in color and texture and experimenting to get new results.
