Oil on Watercolor paper 16” x 20”

The sky occupies a large portion of the painting giving the feeling of openness and expansiveness.  The cloud formations are soft and sweeping, suggesting movement and depth. The land is painted in muted colors of yellow ochre, browns and greens, creating a gentle contrast with the sky.
 
My goal was to have the mood feel wide open and uncluttered, representing midwestern plains.
