It’s almost April, and I’m a little late in this month’s newsletter, busy times!
Here’s hoping we can reduce the bundling up with so many layers soon, and be out and about in the warm sunshine!
Jacob Beneke Scholarship 2023
We have just released the application for our annual arts scholarship. You can get all the details here.
We encourage all District 279 Year 12 students, intending to pursue an advanced arts qualification, to apply.
Youth Classes - Registration Ending Tomorrow!
We have a one class still accepting registrations for Spring Break. It is with Anwesha Guha, and it will super fun for all children aged 7-13! One is a multi day class and the other is just one session. You can get all the details and sign up here.

Adult Classes
There is a huge selection of adult classes from many accomplished art teachers. There are painting classes, drawing classes and some musical offerings. Below is a small selection. Please browse them all online.
For those of you requesting drawing classes, we have secured several classes with Suzann Beck - don’t miss out!
One adult class is closing registration tomorrow - Lost in Nature, with Anwesha Guha. You can see the details here and purchase a spot! It’s been offered each Friday in March, and we’ve had excellent reviews! Don't miss it!
Summer Camps
We are offering a multitude of summer art camps! There is truly something for every little artist in your family! This again is a small selection, for the full experience, please click online.

Arbor Lakes Art Fair 2023
The planning is on-going! There is still time to apply as an artist applications are open until May 1st, 2023.
For the weekend itself, we have live music planned to enjoy as you peruse the art. We also have a magician for the kids on Saturday lunchtime - don’t miss that! We will have arts activities and other great things for the whole family to enjoy, to make your art-filled trip complete. More details to follow!
Our Gallery Shows
Leaving: The Arts North Traveling Show. This was an amazing feast for the eyes during March! Hope you made it! The show finishes on Friday 31st.
Arriving: The Green Show. We are proud to host the Green Show coupled with a selection of artwork from the Capstone class from NHCC.
Next Up: The Mixed Media Show. This show will incorporate art from a variety of talaented local artists. Please look here for more information as it becomes available.

Business of Art
The Business of Art is about to cycle into the 2nd quarter for 2023. We have some great art and artists included in our programming. Be sure to check out all the venues.

We are always looking for new businesses to host art. So, if you are a new business in Maple Grove and you want to play with the cool kids in town and brighten your walls, please contact Natalie Anderson, our Business of Art Director.

March shows us the first glimpse of glorious weather and fun times! Come down and check out what we have for that unique gift or just treat yourself.

Arty Fun Birthday Parties
We also partner with another local organization to host kids’ party parties at the Arts Center. Please contact with Lisa Van Wyk to arrange the details!
Groups
We currently have two peer-to-peer based arts groups. These are volunteer led and open to any advocate to come and join. The Writer’s Studio is on Wednesdays, 11:00-1:00pm and is led by Marj Helmer. Fridays, we have Open Art Studio, led by Valerie Coopet, 10:00-1:00pm. Just bring your materials and join in! You may attend twice before being asked to purchase an advocacy.
If you have an idea for a artistically based group, and you are willing to lead and open the gallery each week, please contact Lise Spence-Parsons for more details.
